Our Green Shield program is a comprehensive tree and shrub healthcare program. Our team provides multiple examinations enabling us to identify insect and disease problems and allow us to formulate and implement control strategies that are both effective and environmentally conscientious. These strategies include soil restoration, microbial additives, biorational controls, and, when necessary, the use of natural or synthetic pesticides.
We are able to produce healthier plants by using organic methods as compared to traditional tree and shrub healthcare programs.
Green Shield combines two ecologically sound strategies: integrated pest management (IPM) and least toxic means. To diagnose problems, we monitor plant and soil conditions, weather, disease incidence, and populations of both harmful and beneficial insects. When intervention is required, we almost exclusively use organic methods to correct specific insect or disease problems.
